Blog Makeover

Below are the screen shots of the before and after of a blog that I just designed for Becca at Rebecca...One Word at a Time. The header photo is from the blog owner. I edit the photo a bit to make it softer and more dreamy and added the sun because tropical islands deserves a sun. Since this is a personal blog, I used script fonts. The header font used for "Rebecca" is AYummyApology which I got from dafont.com but you can find it through a search engine. The colors are based on the header photo.

New Header

I just designed a new header for Yolanda at Perfectly Imperfect. I designed two versions. The tree-like graphic on the right is from Web Design Blog which offers tons of free vector graphics you can get for personal use. The pink just came to me. I didn't consciously look for a particular color but I thought it suit Yolanda's blog just perfectly. The green header is my favorite.

Home Again

Here again a new home for my personal blog which I have changed a couple of times. I like this name better - The Sleeping Day - as it seem to fit me well. I love the shoes pic but don't actually wear them. They have a slippery back so it's rather not right for the current rainy weather. I imported some post from the previous blog, just the ones that I thought was more suitable to this blog.

I woke to find yet another junk comment - comments that have nothing to do with the post. It doesn't seem to be directed at me, it's still rather unsettling to read. This happened twice on the same piece - kiwi dreams - which I thought it was rather strange considering it is an older piece back in May of 2008. Now that I have turn off word verification, it seem more likely this would happen. This comment might have ruin my day in the past but not now. I completely accept these unrelated, foul language comments as part of blogging.

It's raining off and on but I actually enjoy rainy days. The rushing downpour and the colorful umbrellas makes a rather unique atmosphere. People seem rather different during these kind of weather, almost as if there's a strange hold on them.

I'm feeling rather unmotivated these days. The shifting of thoughts sometimes ends with silly thoughts and unspeakable unease.
